Aoharaido (review by nekochan)

Japanese: アオハライド
English: Youth Ride
If you liked Kimi ni Todoke's slow development and Love Com's comedy and main character's lively personality, and you don't prefer heavy drama...you'll like this. It's cute. The scenes are not extreme. The dialogues are not over the top; it's pretty normal, unlike the other mangas with dialogues that are awkward to read. The twist at the start of the story's interesting.

Nekochan's review starts now...
*semi-SPOILER ALERT!*
For the female lead, Yoshioka Futaba...is a girl who cares for what other people will think about her that makes her pretend to a different kind of person, but she's kind. She's also brave when it comes to facing changes.

For the male lead, Tanaka Kou / Mabuchi Kou...is a mysterious, reserved guy. He's a little*little* clever but he's so controlled. He's kind and all...

The storyline/story
It is not something extraordinary, but that makes it realistic. Although the pace is slow, that is what really happens in reality, right? You don't usually meet a guy today and fall in love on the same day and be a couple on the next few days. It is also nice to see how the past affected the present. People really change like that.
*At some point, I remembered my high school days, the time when I met someone and after a few years, we met again and when the one I liked suddenly stopped going to school and moved to other country. XD*

The title:
I think the title suits the story. The kind of situations they experience are like those that are being experienced by most of the teens(experiencing love for the 1st time, confessing, finding friends etc).

The Art:
Futaba looks mature when you look at her from the back but she looks small when you look at her from the front. There are also colored pages, but I think Kou looks cooler on achromatic pages. Overall, the art is nice. :)

What's in this manga common in other mangas I've read(so far, I've read 27 mangas):
Insecure girls.

What made an impression on me:
Tanaka sensei's mole. XD
How the characters changed from past to present.

What else?
I like it.
