Switch Girl (review by nekochan)

Japanese: スイッチガール!!
I recommend this to readers who prefer comedy over romance or for readers who are fond of hilarious stuffs. There's romance in this manga BUT it's not as serious as the 1-17 mangas(refer to the sidebar). The female lead here is really lame. It's funny but I don't prefer this kind of story. Read the rest of this post for more of my explanation. But, above all...this manga has a unique concept. Aida Nastumi-san's courage for making a female lead as ugly as this is remarkable
Realistic > Idealistic

Nekochan's review starts now...
*semi-SPOILER ALERT!*

For the female lead, Tamiya Nika...The off mode of her was really ugly. SO UGLY!!! But the on mode was really beautiful. The half-mode was more ugly. The truth is what her off mode shows my off mode. :P I don't know if you'll like her. I think she's still cute when she's on off mode but the drawing is exaggerated. Maybe Aida Nastumi-san really wanted the readers to look at Nika as UGLY as possible when she's on off mode. She looks like a troll! I wonder if the troll faces originated from Nika. XD Her expressions were REALLY EPIC! So ugly! I hope Aida-san won't feel bad with my comments since Nika really looked UGLY. Some of her doings doesn't match her age, as well. She's shameless. She do stuffs without thinking. Her sister's like her too(also a switch girl)! She also has a weird family. @.@

For the male lead, Kamiyama Arata...Wow! What a brave man! @.@ He also has off(on glasses) and on(with round glasses) modes. But, even if he's on his on mode, he's not lame. He's a cool and kind guy.

The storyline/story:
Love development was fast, for Nika. The chapters' are really short so the scenes happened fast(just like pressing the 'next' button of a DVD player remote). It's like, when 00 went to 00's house, it was so sudden that he's already inside her room. @.@ I mean, compared to other mangas wherein you can see what the characters do before they get to a place...There's not enough emphasis with movements(like walking...) or scene shifting. The  concept of the story's unique. Maybe, that's one of the reason why they made a live action for the manga. :D >>a little info about it<<

The drawing:
Not as good as 1-17 mangas at the sidebar. I noticed that the background is somewhat pale(although it's black&white) and plain, so I find it boring. Characters facing the front is ok but when they are on different angles(ex. looking slightly to the right/left with head tilted a little downwards), the drawing's not that precise. Since this is a comedy manga, there were lots of  scenes that is really like a child's drawing. Maybe, Aida-san's intention was to make it look funny but then, in my opinion, it was over the top. And! Arata's eyes doesn't have that much life. Look at it.

What's in this manga common in other mangas I've read(17 mangas, so far):
There's one. XD Maybe it has, but I did notice it. Maybe, because it's not that of a big deal. The concept of the story's unique.

What made an impression on me:
GIRL TURN OFFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
